was a damn fine decision

The melancholic, filtered synth arpeggio, swaying back and forth from that calm Dm7 chord down to the BbM7 chord is really pretty. I particularly like the transition between the two, with that rubbing semitone between the E and F notes over the C note in the bass, before it continues to walk down. However, when ascending, jumping from the 2nd to the 4th degree before returning to the root note which sounds a bit more hopeful IMO. Nice touch.

The reverberating back beat is nicely syncopated against this steady arpeggio to create interest as the melody is introduced, with a effective two note motif. Beautiful synth patch on the melody BTW, I love the slight pitch modulation on it.

And then the string section, damn near got chills. Really beautiful and uplifting.

In repeating the verse, variation in the percussion as well as the added string voices develop the piece and round it off, with the final two notes sounding off as a triumphant sigh of relaxation.

Thank you! love your analysis of the song. its a nice feeling when someone comes along and shows that they really do enjoy the project and why they like it. hope i can keep my form up and upload another good song once i make it :D

DnB like this is some of the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Really gorgeous PS1-y textures and chord progressions, reminiscent of Machine Girl (who I assume was an inspiration from the title lol.) The piece kept me interested throughout by constantly evolving bit by bit, no thoughtless copy-paste of sections at all. Cool stuff.

Right you are to assume that Machine Girl was my inspiration, I decided to branch out from the usual liquid DnB shit I like doing and decided to make something a bit more...Granular.
It was a blast to make all these rubber-ish sounds, very very fun.
I also decided to give it my own touch since otherwise it'd just be another "attempt at replicating something" Which to be real I don't feel like doing anymore, making music with my own seal sounds more appealing than trying to regurgitate someone else's work.

nailed the rob zombie vibe with those little samples, the groove, the vocals and the guitar tone. but def some other alt. rock inspo too. really digging it!
